Implementation of the Eco-Village Project

With a view to demonstating ways of life which are respectful of the environment and lasting for the next generations, Government announced the implementation of the Eco-Village Project during the 2009 Budget. The project will in the first phase target 9 villages namely: Pointe aux Piments, Panchavati, RiviereCocos Village in Rodrigues, Vieux Grand-Port, Vuillemin, La Gaulette/Le Morne, Poudre D’Or, Clemencia and Souillac.

The implementation of the project was approved by Cabinet in November 2010.
